Crusader: The profile of Kakyoin Noriaki

Kakyoin Noriaki, sometimes butchered as Cack-yo-ween and henceforth known as Noriaki, is a major supporting character in the third arc of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Stardust Crusaders. Distinguishable by his lean figure and green school uniform, he assumes a persona akin to that of an honor student and is the fourth, as well as youngest, member of the crusaders. At the ripe age of 17, his strengths lie in his composure and careful analyses of any given situation.

Initially under the mind control of DIO, a recurring antagonist in the series, Noriaki is rescued from his predicament and potential death by Kujo Jotaro. A chain of events at the Kujo household then sparks a 50-day road trip to Egypt, on which the crusaders embark with the hopes of curing Jotaro's ailing mother.

According to Araki, the creator of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Noriaki's given name was intended to be Tenmei, based on the Chinese reading of 典明 ("law code, bright"). A miscommunication with the editor resulted in the alternative reading. Regardless of what's official, Araki abides by his personal preference when referring to the character by first name.

Memorable trivia (for better or worse)

Noriaki is infamous among fans as the "ultimate MILF hunter" with a questionable habit when it comes to eating cherries. You mention one time that your friend's mother is the type of woman you'd like to marry, and nobody wants to let it go thereafter. This is how memes are generated. As for the cherries, seeing is believing.

Due to its sheer notoriety, I'll also mention that Noriaki stars in a CLAMP doujinshi, wherein there's great debate about whether he laid the egg that hatched the child resembling Jotaro. I'm not kidding. Now I'm going to pretend I never said anything and wipe the existence of this story from my memory.
